A shout out to our Cheer team and their coaches, Ms. Burch and Ms. Ryan. They did an amazing job  at the recent Shake Rattle and Roll Competition.  They represented Hammond Westside with grace, dignity, and a ton of school spirit.

  • The 5th graders in Mrs. Folk's class learned about aerodynamics.  They worked to create rockets out of various materials.  They used an air pressurized rocket launcher to launch their rockets.  This rocket was made by Daniel Wall and Landon Bergeron.

  • Gentlemen's Club

    Hammond Westside Montessori Distinguished Gentlemen's Club Banquet

    Hammond Westside Montessori’s Distinguished Gentlemen’s Club held their end of the year banquet on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Don’s Seafood. The young men were given encouraging speeches by the school principal, Mr. Jason Oller, and mentors Mr. Tom Pitts, Mr. David McCoy, and Mr. Charles L. Gross, Jr. (new mentor for the 2017-2018 school year).  The young men were also given a certificate of appreciation along with an enjoyable meal complements of Mr. Pitts. Also sponsoring the club this year were Mrs. Kym W. Gross, Mrs. Jesse Jackson, and Ms. Tamika Smith.

  • The Giving Tree

    Michelle Miller, Kay Miller, and Sandy Wolesfer brought donations to Mrs. Kaylin Cruise's second grade classroom on Tuesday, April 25. In honor of their "giving spirit" Ms. Sandy brought each student in Mrs. Cruise's class the a hard copy of the book "The Giving Tree." They read the story together in class and discussed how giving to others who are less fortunate was so important.
