Tonya Martin's class is using Sketchy to make a PowerPoint of the life cycle of a bean plant.  One day the students cut open flowers to examine the parts of a flower, the next day they put beans in a baggie with a moist paper towel to germinate them, and then they made the PowerPoint of the bean's life cycle. 

Linda Ronquillo's students in second grade at Loranger Elementary began an adventure in handhelds last week.  Students were introduced to the hp iPAQ and began learning how this handheld computer works.  Students learned the rules for working with handhelds and explored a program called Sketchy.  The students made mini-movies using Sketchy.  They were all so excited that they were making plans to add an iPAQ to their Christmas wish lists.
