Tangipahoa Parish School System is conducting a pilot project using handheld computers in the classrooms at Amite Elementary, Loranger Middle, West Side Middle School, Hammond Eastside Upper, and Hammond Westside Primary, D. C. Reeves Elementary, Vinyard Elementary, Loranger Elementary, Chesbrough Elementary, O.W. Dillon Elementary. At each school, students work together to learn targeted Grade Level Expectations (GLEs) using the iPAQ handheld computer as an effective tool for learning.
