Tangipahoa Parish School System is conducting a
pilot project using handheld computers in the
classrooms at Hammond Eastside Upper and three other
TPSS schools.
Hammond Eastside Upper
fifth graders can be seen below using the iPAQs with
Mary McMahan. The students are learning how to use
Sketchy. Ms. McMahan began the lesson by having the
students create a pumpkin. From there they started
creating their own animations in Sketchy. In Mrs. Dwelle’s
class, the students made animations using what they
learned about tepees in Social Studies. Click on the
