(READING COMPREHENSION) Draw pictures of the characters in the story. Then write the names under the picture. Have the students put the characters in the order that they appeared in the story. |

(WRITING PROCESS) Have students write their own ending to the story. |

(WRITING/GRAMMAR) Use the repetitive phrase in the story (Run, run, as fast as you can....). Have students identify the action word. Then have them substitute other action words and read the phrase with the new action words. |

(SPEAKING/LISTENING) As the teacher reads the story, have students say the repetitive phrase when the teacher gets to it. |
