4) Where appropriate, the student uses more sophisticated reasoning and/or efficient procedures.
A student will earn 4 POINTS if his/her work meets these criteria.
1) The student completes most important aspects of the task accurately and communicates clearly. 
2) The response demonstrates an understanding of major concepts and/or processes, although less important ideas or details may be overlooked or misunderstood. 
3) The student's logic and reasoning may contain minor flaws.
A student will earn 3 POINT is his/her work meets these criteria only.
1) The student completes some parts of the task successfully.   
2)  The response demonstrates gaps in conceptual understanding.
A student will earn 2 POINT if his/her work meets these criteria only.
The student completes only a small portion of the task and/or shows minimal understanding of the concepts and/or processes. A student will earn only 1 POINT if this describes his/her work.
Student's response is incorrect, irrelevant, too brief to evaluate, or blank. A student will earn 0 POINTS if this describes his/her work.
