STANDARD 1 
(READING COMPREHENSION) 
After reading the story, list all of the "if" items listed in the book.  Have students tell what would happen if you gave a mouse that item.
STANDARD 2 
(WRITING PROCESS) 
Have students write a sentence, "If you give a ______a_______".  Then have them tell what would happen.
STANDARD 3
