WRITING PROMPTS
GRADE 3

Your teacher has asked you to write a composition telling about the best thing that has ever happened in your school. 

Before you begin to write, think about the best day in your school.  Why is it so memorable?


Be specific.  You might want to write down ideas before you begin. 



Your multi-paragraph composition should be at least 100-150 words long.


       ---Give specific details and enough information.
      ---Be sure to write clearly.
      ---Check your writing for correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar. 





Suppose that someone wants to visit you in your town or city.  You want to write a letter to this person describing your town or city.

Think about your town or city.   How would you describe it to this person? Write a letter to this person describing it. 

Your letter should be at least 100-150 words long.
