As Assistant Principal of Woodland Park Elementary Magnet School, I would like to welcome you and your child to our school. It will be my pleasure to serve you as we transition into another school year. With nine years as a classroom teacher, my experiences have afforded me the opportunity to serve and work alongside some of the best in the parish.

At Woodland Park Elementary Magnet School, it is our belief that by creating a working relationship with the students, parents, school staff, and the community, we can develop and maintain a positive learning environment. We are all a vital link to ensure the success of all students at our school.

Our goals for the year are to:

ü  provide a quality education

ü  promote an appreciation for our democratic heritage

ü  create an awareness of the responsibilities of good citizenship

Our faculty is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing environment that allows for children to grow emotionally, physically, and intellectually.
