Marilyn M. Dunn Principal
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Welcome to a new year and a new beginning at Tangipahoa Alternative Site Programs (TASP). As principal, I am excited to have the pleasure of working with you and look forward to the many changes taking place in education in our system this school session. It is my primary responsibility to ensure that all students receive educational opportunities that will develop their maximum academic, physical, mental, and social potentials. Therefore, it is my goal to ensure that everyone who works with our students provide happy experiences to help them enjoy the process of learning and to provide activities that will meet the needs of the whole child.
We recognize it is only through a cooperative effort from our students, our parents, and the community that we can be effective. We also recognize that a strong attendance record, by our students, is a key component to helping my staff and me reach our goals. Please help us assist our students in having a safe and rewarding school year by reading and following the rules and procedures which are outlined in the Tangipahoa Parish School System’s student and parent handbook and as were outlined and discussed by Administrators and Faculty.
Hats off to the TPSS Central Office Administrators and School Board Members for providing students an opportunity to receive a high school diploma in a non-traditional setting. We hope our students will continue to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
Thank you for entrusting your education in our care. I look forward to meeting and working with you in your role concerning Tangipahoa Alternative Site Programs (TASP).
Respectfully,
Marilyn M. Dunn
