Welcome to Loranger High School!  With many changes in the air, I am anticipating an exciting year ahead.  My name is Rhea Marrs, and I will serve as principal of Loranger High School, hopefully for a long time.  I am excited to be here and grateful for the opportunity to work with, and for, your students and the community of Loranger.

Moving from New Mexico in 1980, my family has adopted Louisiana and has made it our home.  I have a Bachelor of Business Education and a Master of Business Administration from Eastern New Mexico University.  I was fortunate to attend Southeastern Louisiana University for add-on certification in Educational Administration.  My greatest hope is to see Loranger High School continue to be the best school in Tangipahoa Parish and aim for the best school in Louisiana.  We definitely have the best students, teachers, and community around, so becoming recognized as the top school should be no problem.

The mission of Loranger High School is to provide students opportunities to become life-long learners.  Loranger High School has many new faces this year, each contributing a wealth of knowledge and experience.  I extend a warm “Wolf Welcome” to them and encourage you to get to know them and utilize their expertise in the development of your student(s) becoming responsible citizens.

As principal of Loranger High School, I commit to the students, parents, community, and faculty to uphold the tradition of academic excellence and provide a safe and secure environment in which students can learn.  I have an open-door policy and encourage communication between all stakeholders.

I look forward to another great year.
