Greetings parents and community members!

I am honored to serve you as your Primary Years Programme (PYP) coordinator designate. It is my responsibility to ensure that Hammond Eastside implements and upholds IB practices and policies within the next few years, so that our school will become an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) world school.

As an IB candidate school as of September 1, 2012, we are studying PYP practices and policies, creating our Programme of Inquiry, writing transdisciplinary units of inquiry, and implementing PYP language and practices. We will begin working with our official IB consultant this school year and continuing in our professional development. I will submit Hammond Eastside’s application for authorization by October 1^st, 2013.
