1. To access the TangiSchools HelpDesk, you will need to login with your TangiSchools username and password. The first time that you access the HelpDesk, you will see three of these dialog boxes below and you should click the "Install" button each time.


2. This is what your TangiSchools HelpDesk window looks like
once you've installed the software.


3. In the top right hand corner of the window you will see these three small icons.

4. Click the to "Edit Profile" and fill in your information like below. In the Department field put your school or department.


5. Click the in the top right hand corner of the window to report a "new incident"... and the window below will appear. Read the directions at the bottom of the window for reminders.


6. It's very important to give as much specific information as possible to expedite the process. In the field to the left of the "Find" button, type the tag number and the system will possibly fill in your Computer Name for you. Click here for directions to find the official "name" of your computer. Don't forget to put your room number and the location of your room/office so that the technician can find you. To submit, click the "OK" button.

 


7. When you click "OK" to submit, you will see a window like the one below. Click the "Home" button in the top right hand corner to get back to your HelpDesk homepage... OR... click the "Edit" icon to add to or revise your incident report.


8. Your incident will now be listed in a window like the one below. At any time, you can click on the incident to highlight and then click on the "View" icon to see the details.



9. You can make additions and revisions to your incident as many times as necessary. The window below shows two edits to the same incident.


10. Make sure you always logoff when finished by clicking the "Log off" button in the top right hand corner of the HelpDesk homepage.
