This photo is of me and my husband as we cheered on the LSU tigers at the SEC championship in 2003.

We are huge LSU fans!

GO TIGERS !!!

My name is Amy Ard.   I am a school tech facilitator at Tucker and Champ Cooper Elementary.  I am married and  have a dog named, Hynes and two cats, Lamont and Walter.  I am originally from New Orleans, Louisiana.  I attended public school until 6th grade and then attended a Catholic middle and high school.  I played with the New Orleans Youth New Orchestra from 1st through 12th grade (a program through N.O. public schools).  My parents and siblings still reside in New Orleans.

I graduated from Mount Carmel Academy in 1999.   I attended Louisiana State University for my undergraduate degree.  I graduated in May of 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.  I moved to Hammond in the summer of 2003.   I was accepted into the Teacher Scholar Program which is a graduate program at Southeastern University.  I received my Masters degree in Special Education in December of 2005.  I taught 5th grade at Hammond Westside Upper for one year and then was hired at Hammond Eastside Upper. I taught 5th grade for a year and 4th grade for two years at Hammond Eastside Upper.   I am one of the luckiest teachers in the parish since I am working at  schools that embrace every technological opportunity available.
