Louisiana ABCs Technology Connected Lesson Plan (pdf)
L IS FOR LOUISIANA by Cecelia Dartez will be read to the group. Other books that will compliment this lesson are CAJUN ALPHABET by James Rice, ANIMALIA by Graeme Base, Going to New Orleans to Visit Weezie Anna by Mary Beth Pisano, LOUISIANA ALPHABET by Nancy Parker should be pointed out to offer extensions to this lesson.
Participants will use Louisiana ABCs Parts of Speech Chart (pdf) to brainstorm lists of words beginning with their letter and categorize them into parts of speech. Participants will be assigned a letter to create an alliteration short story that will be illustrated and published in Kerpoof and compiled into a class book.

Graph Club - Louisiana Lagniappe
Participants will take one of the assigned Louisiana graphs  and compile the data to make graphs using that data. They will also use data from Weather Watch Chart to illustrate in graphs.
Techie Time with “Tom Snyder’s Graph Club 2.0”. Demonstrate the different features of Graph Club including importing graphics to make graphs more specific.

Groovy Graphs Technology Connected Lesson Plan (word)
Funny Photographs
Use KID PIX to do a “Funny Photograph.” Insert your digital picture onto a KID PIX Slide and use cutouts to add funny features. Do one more slide with a descriptive paragraph or poem about the “Funny Photograph” for a two-page booklet or a class slide show using KID PIX.

View samples. Chose a Louisiana Great from the list. Participants will work in pairs to research a Louisiana Great using World Book Online or other Internet resources. Pictures from the TangiTech CD or the Internet will be used. You can use the Famous People of Louisiana (pdf) handout to get info on some of our state's greatest people.
Participants will use the Trading Card Notetaking Guide as they do their research.

TrackStar preparation
Participants will complete Louisiana Lagniappe Track Star that was created for TangiTech.
Explain the procedure for creation of Track Star. Have participants search and bookmark the sites they will use in Track.
 Begin typing the questions in Microsoft Word on the “First Draft for TrackStar” file on the TangiTech CD. Use “Copy” and “Paste” with URLs so that you don't take a chance of making typos.
Technology Connected Lesson Plan (Word)
 Use the Lesson Plan template (Word) on the TangiTech CD to create your three Technology Connected Lesson Plans for TangiTech.
Use copy and paste skills to insert Content Standards and Technology Standards (word) into TC Lesson Plan.

Housekeeping
Make sure one copy of all printed work is filed in folder box and you have checked off completed activities on the clipboard by the file box. Collect supplies, and bring computers back to desktops.
