Day Three Journal:
Day Three Journal Writing Prompt:
What are the barriers to integrating technology in your school? How will you overcome them?
Journal Writing in MICROSOFT WORD. “Thoughts from Louisiana”. Click Journal Template button (Word) at the top left.
E-Mail Assignment:
Check your Tangischools email account on the Internet and Reply to the E-mail Assignment Day 3. Save E-mail as a Draft, teachers will explore calendar features including adding events and setting reminders. 
Question of the Day:
How do alligators kill their prey? How long do alligators take care of their babies? You should look for these answers as we do the science computer center rotations. Post your answer on a stickie around the poster.

Super Speller Activity:
Rotating computers spelling centers. Use Microsoft Word techniques for formatting text.
Use Computer Grid management technique or Checklist by computer (word)… students check off their name as they complete the activity and get the next person on the list.

TC Lesson Plan for Louisiana Animals Newsletter: (word)
Each learning team will send one member to become an expert at each of the research centers. That expert will work with others in that group to learn how to navigate and manipulate that specific resource. They will follow the cooperative learning strategy of “Jigsaw Learning” and “Each One Teach One” and go back to their learning team as an expert on that specific piece of technology.
Learning Teams will then rotate throughout the computer lab centers getting information on their assigned Louisiana Animal. Each learning team member choose a different fact sheet to collect information.

One of the centers the groups will visit is the digital camera station. Participants will take a group picture and individual pictures with Louisiana props. (alligator, pirogue, Louisiana flag, magnolia, purple iris, Mardi Gras beads). This picture will be used later in the TC Lesson Plan “Postcards from Louisiana”.

Once all of the research has been completed, Learning Teams will complete a two-page newsletter using ULTIMATE WRITING AND CREATIVITY CENTER. These will be compiled into a class Louisiana Animals Newsletter, published and bound.

TC Lesson Plan - Postcards from the Wetlands (HTML)
We will vary this lesson for TangiTech.
Participants will import their digital pictures taken this morning in the research center rotations into the Postcard PowerPoint template. They will write to their principal telling them about TangiTech and print three copies… one to keep, one to mail to their principal and one to file.
