Electronic Chalkboard - Make sure that you read everything each morning to find out procedures, assignments and announcements for the day. Every day we will have morning activities/bell ringers like we did in TangiTech #1 and #2. Click on the morning activity to go to the explanation in the list below.

    Problem of the Day (submit through e-mail) / Estimation Station / Math Mall / PowerPoint Pals / Mental Math Mode

Problem of the day with Bamboo - You will find the Problem of the Day located in your e-mail. Open the e-mail that says, "Day 1 Problem of the Day". Use your Bamboo Tablet to complete the problem. Do not leave any steps out. Remember, you will work your problem in Paint. To get to Paint follow these steps. "Click",  "Start"> "Programs"> "Accessories"> then "Paint". After your have completed the Problem of the Day, save your work in your folder on the U Drive. Remember to save it as a Jpeg.

Draw and label a rectangle using the Bamboo. Save it to your folder using your name and the word geometry. For example. colettegeometry. Then, send it as an attachment through e-mail to ttmath@tangischools.org. Print a copy for your portfolio.

Draw a rectangle. Answer the following two questions about your rectangle. How many sides does it have? What is the difference between the sides of your rectangle?

"Math"gizers - From time to time we need to take a break. Our brain is full and we need to get the blood flowing to our brain again so we can think. "Math"gizers are just like Energizers except we put a math twist to it. Get ready to stretch!

Math Mall - In the courtyard are several stations with Math activities for you to complete. There are three stations but you are only required to complete 2 out of the 3 stations. You and your partner will work together to complete the activities. Complete the worksheet that is with the Math activity. Then go to a computer in the lab, open a Word Document and tell us what you learned.

Estimation Station - Every morning there will be a container in the front of the classroom filled with items. Write your estimate on the sheet of paper located by the container. At the end of the day 2 people will be responsible for counting the items and telling the class the result.

It's a Math Book - Using Kerpoof is so much fun and easy to use. We will illustrate a picture then write a word problem for a classmate to figure out. You can use this site for just about any subject area. After we create and print our word problem, let's see if our classmates can solve them using the Kagan Structure Quiz, Quiz Trade. Software - Harcourt Math Learn how to use the great  math software that Harcourt offers with the textbooks. It will be available in your lab, but you will learn how to install it in your classroom. We will cover the basics of setting up a class, enrolling students in that class and making assignments for the class. You will also have the opportunity to explore the software and see the activities for each skill. Come see for yourself what a great addition this is to the textbooks.
Software - Kidspiration 3 The new Kidspiration 3 helps to develop literacy and numeracy skills. Each day we will use this program to develop our to develop a specific skill. I think you'll find it is more than just for writing. It it builds conceptual understanding in Math.
