Welcome to Natalbany Elementary where the administration, faculty, staff and students share the same philosophy-“We’re On the Same Team, We Share the Same Dream!” As you walk our campus, you will witness firsthand a group of individuals with a common goal-Teaming for Student Achievement! We collaborate weekly in leadership and cluster meetings to review strategies and student work to ensure that we are providing your child with what he/she needs to be successful. We are a TAP school, and you will see TAP IN ACTION whenever you visit our classrooms. You will see students highly engaged, teachers serving as facilitators and support being provided by the administration and master teachers.

A solid foundation is imperative in today's society. It is an important step in preparing our youth for the future. Therefore, as the instructional leader of NES, along with the NES DREAM TEAM, we are constantly sharpening our skills to provide the components of the Teacher Advancement Program (TAP) to our community of learners. This research-based program provides teachers with the collaboration time(CLUSTER) to learn develop and implement strategies which provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge they will need to be prepared to demonstrate mastery on standardized tests and common core. Common Core provides skills for each grade level that teachers utilize as a guide to keep on track when providing instruction to students. These skills are aligned to the ILEAP and LEAP tests they will take in the March and April 2013. I look forward to partnering with you this school year to ensure we are always striving towards our goal of student achievement. 

There are many academic and social opportunities provided for students to excel at NES. These include well-organized classroom lessons that are aligned to the TAP instructional rubric, PBIS incentive activities, BUGS (Bringing Up Grades) provided by Kiwanis, All Pro Dads Breakfast and other activities that will help your child become a productive citizen and a lifelong learner. I would like to encourage our parents to be actively involved in our school, because you are an essential partner in our EAGLE NATION TEAM as we work diligently to ensure that we provide your child with the necessary skills to receive a sound education and successfully graduate.
