Hello! I'm Ms. Puma and I am one of the 7th grade English and reading teachers here at Nesom.  This is my 13th year of teaching in Tangipahoa Parish. I have two teenage sons of my own and can relate to some of the issues our students are going through and their  parents. 

 

I believe that all my students are young people and capable of learning, regardless of what academic level they are on.  I would like to encourage my students to read and explore through reading.  I do expect my students to read at least one book a 6 weeks.  I am an active user of Scholastic Book clubs, so the students can use this resource to buy an inexpensive book.

 

I love to get to know my students and strive to have a fun learning atmosphere!
