This is the information sheet that should be given out during the months of June and July 2016 at each school for parents wanting to register their child for the 2016-17 school year.
Parents request an Extraordinary Circumstances/Hardship Transfer from the Chief Desegregation Implementation Officer (CDIO) who will review the request and any supporting documentation and has the right to request additional documentation relative to the need for the transfer. A hardship transfer may be exempted from the restriction that would deny such a transfer if it resulted in the receiving school becoming racially identifiable based on a case-by-case consideration. The hardship must related to the student and not solely the parent. Examples include health and safety situations but does not include after school care.
