Hi, I am Valerie Mason Prier. This is my 29th year as an educator. I worked 22 years in the New Orleans Public Schools, teaching 4th, pre-kindergarten and 1st grades. I also served as a Staff Developer. After hurricane Katrina, my husband and I moved to Tangipahoa Parish. Here I've taught kindergarten, pre-kindergarten, and worked as a librarian. This is my second year at Perrin School. Kindergarten students are like sponges. They absorb everything presented to them. They are a delight to teach. I'd like to borrow a few lines from the song THE GREATEST LOVE. "I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way." |
