School Bus Driver Training
The Tangipahoa Parish School Board will hold a (30) hour pre-service training course to become certified as a Louisiana School Bus Operator.
Where: Tangipahoa Parish School System, Technology Center

When: February 2-12, 2015 5:30PM-9:00PM (Nights)
March 16-19, 2015 8:00AM-5PM (Days)
What to Bring: Bring paper and pen to take notes
All sessions must be attended to complete the course.
In addition to this class, drivers must obtain a class A or B commercial driver’s license with the "S" and "P" endorsements and be air brake certified. Registration is not required.

POSITION: Field Transportation Coordinator - 12 month
SALARY: $31,545 - $44,711 based on years of experience and degree
LOCATION: Central Office - Amite, Louisiana
CRITERIA: Must have the following: high school diploma, Bachelors’ Degree preferred; school bus driver certification; knowledge of roadways within parish: knowledge of school sites and district boundaries: knowledge of vehicle accident rules and regulations; knowledge of school bus inspection procedures; ability to read and understand maps; ability to deal with parent/driver conflicts and resolve student discipline problems. Must have reliable transportation. Supervisory experience preferred.
