In order to achieve All Star status in the Sumner High Freshman Academy, ninth grade students must do all of the following:

 

• Have an "A" average in at least two of their core courses (English I, Algebra I, Physical Science, World Geography)
  
• Have no more than one "C" in any subject on their progress report or report card
  
• Have no "D" or "F" averages in any subject on their progress report or report card
  
• Have no discipline referrals
   
• Be in good standing in all accounts for classes, clubs, and organizations in which they are involved
  
  
  Each grading period, an academic incentive field trip is offered to the students who qualify for All Star status as a reward for their hard work.
  
  
  
  At the Sumner High School Freshman Academy, we hope that all students will strive to meet these expectations, and will have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of doing so.
