Hi,
 
     I'm so excited you have visited my homepage.  Please allow me a moment to introduce myself.  I'm Mrs. Shaw.  This is my 16th year to teach 4th grade.  This is my second year at Hammond Westside Elementary Montessori.  My career started at Holy Ghost School in Hammond.  I also taught 10 years at Independence Elementary School. 
     I am so excited about teaching Dr. Maria Montessori's method of educating.  You will watch your child become an independent and creative thinker.  Students will learn to repect themselves, others, and their environment.  This will lead them to become successful citizens, who will contribute to our society in really positive ways. 
     I am looking forward to a great Montessori year!
