The Tangipahoa Parish School System has received the following awards for its Annual Budget:

Meritorious Budget Award – received from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) for each year beginning with fiscal year 99-00.
Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for each year beginning with fiscal year 98-99.
These awards represent a significant achievement. They also reflect the commitment of the Board and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting.
Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports
Congratulations to Tangipahoa Parish School System. They have won the Association of School Business Officials International’s (ASBO) Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting Program (COE) and have been awarded by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. These awards represent a significant achievement by the School System and reflect our commitment to the highest standards of school system financial reporting. They also reflect the commitment of the Board and staff to publish an easily readable and efficiently organized CAFR that satisfies both Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) and applicable Louisiana legal requirements. The ASBO award has been received for 20 consecutive years and the GFOA award has been received for 21 consecutive years.
