My name is Carrie and I have been a practicing, licensed, credentialed, and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist for the last 4 years. I love my family, Speech Therapy, Starbucks, and life in general! I am passionate about helping children communicate to the best of their abilities and to find enjoyment in communicating despite challenges. I want my students to be confident in who they are and in their many strengths. My Education and Work Experience I attended Southeastern Louisiana University where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences. I attended Southern University where I earned my Master of Science degree in Communicative Disorders and Sciences, Speech-Language Pathology. I have worked with very young children as an early intervention speech therapist (ages 0-3) as well as with adults and geriatric populations – and just about every age in between! I have worked in many different settings including; private practice, schools, and rehabilitation hospitals. I am currently a school based Speech-Language Pathologist and enjoying my early elementary aged students! I have loved every minute of my work experience. | |
