Ms. Karen Hebert, 8th English teacher at St. Paul's received a Brown Service Learning Grant. With this funding, Ms. Hebert's boys wrote and illustrated a book for each first grader in Ms. Moore's class , and they also gave each first grader a tote bag filled with other books and school supplies.  We are very grateful to Ms. Hebert and her students for the time they spent with our students and the books and supplies they provided.

  • HEEMS Participates in Online Field Testing

All students in the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grade participated in LEAP and iLEAP Online Field Testing these last two weeks. The window opened on May 6th and will close on May 22nd. This gave students an opportunity to experience online accountability testing, so they may be prepared for the PARCC Common Core assessments that will replace LEAP and iLEAP in the next couple of years. It also allowed the school to assess its preparedness for online testing.
